tuff logo

I was looking for ideas on what to add to this site and I stumbled upon a link to sadgrl.online. Their liquid chrome logo was sooo tuff I had to create one for myself. One photopea tutorial later I've made this.

eikascorner liquid chrome logo

It didnt come out as well as i thought it would, but I think it's sick. I'm not using it because it's made for dark backgrounds, and I can't really be bothered to add a dark mode/light mode switch for this site. (I probably will when i'm bored another day)

You might wonder why this site isn't hosted on Neocities, there is one tiny reason that it isn't. Their free mode doesn't allow mp3 ;(. I know its a tiny and dumb reason to not host it there, as if anyone actually listens to the music provided by sites like these. I HATE when someone makes it so music autoplays, it makes me scramble to find the pause button or mute my phone/desktop. 9/10 times i'm not looking to listen to music when reading thru someones work.

update 05/09/2026

well well well i've done it. I just couldnt contain myself. eikascorner.neocities.org. buttt I had to remove some features and some entirely don't work. My lovely music player is gone, the guestbook isnt functional, and neither is the visitor counter. All things i'll fix in time.

big news

1.) I added a guestbook. sign it, we gotta fill it out

2.) I'm going to Albania. Maaaaan i haven't been outside of Spain or the UK in maybe 10 years - now i'm speedrunning becoming a pro hiker. I hope the Albanian mafia won't have any issues with my arrival hehe

The climber

I will become Mori incarnate.

Around a month ago i started hiking once or twice a week, recently i've been going every 2 to 3 days. I've also started scrambling way more. And holy shit it's the most fun ive had in years. All the places i've been to have been extremely exposed, like one slip i'll probably just die - but i feel confident and secure on my holds, climbing etc. Only thing i don't like is the environment where i live. Eastern Spain is just pine trees and shrubs there's no proper rainforests or something different, you'd have to drive over 2/3 hours to get somewhere slightly different. The mountains aren't too bad though.

I've noticed my fitness has improved dramatically, when i first started going on hikes i would be completely out of breath within a few minutes, my legs would be hurting and i'd have to take breaks and sit down. Only after around a month of this, the local mountain that once took me 6 or 7 breaks to walk up I can blitz it, only taking a break around the 90% mark because there onwards it's practically scrambling up loose rock and is tedious to climb up. I would always sit down when resting, for maybe 5 minutes at a time, but now all it takes is maybe 30 seconds (sometimes less) of standing letting my legs recover before i can carry on.

There is still tons i have to improve. Having done practically no cardio my whole life, my endurance is really poor and my heart isn't that strong. So while my muscles have adapted to hiking, my heart often gives out before they do, forcing me to rest when i would otherwise be able to carry on. I really hope this gets better over time, as it's really the only thing holding me back right now.

Nothing has changed

Sooo its been almost a month. One may wonder, what crazy things could have occured? Haha you're funny.

I've finished my clients website, client is taking forever to reply, so nothing to do there. I've been hiking like crazy, seems the boredom has had a good effect on me.

I've applied to so many jobs today. Why does every single employer have to use their own site to apply, make me copy paste my info every single time. Like you're posting your position on Linkedin, so why am I being taken to an external site?

I watched Spiderman brand new day yesterday, everything was in Spanish with no subtitles lol. But I've gotten pretty decent at the language, understood eeeverything. Pretty good movie, the Hulk scenes were sick, my favorite part of the movie. The whole thing actually reminded me of the Amazing Spiderman, the way he has to learn how to use his powers again. They definitly could have explored that more, since near the end he just seems to turn into true man spider and go crazy on the Hand. I also did not expect Frank to be in it lmfao, ying and yang combo.

I can't wait for the solar eclipse on the 12th. I found this nice hill just out Valencia, gonna hope there's no people around me. Have I told anyone I hate people? Now you know. It's meant to last around 90 seconds, but I'm right on the edge of the 100% zone, literally a few km inside, I really hope it lasts more than a few seconds for me. As long as I get to see the corona and for it to go night time, I'll be happy.

update 13/08/2026

So I drove 200km to see the eclipse, it was awesome. First one I've ever seen, its definitly a unique experience. One thing I do regret, is spending too much time recording it on my phone instead of looking at it. It only lasted a minute and I spent probably half of it making sure my phone was recording o-o. There's one next year in the south, I might go to that one too.

We live in a simulation

I believe in the universe being a simulation, rather than believing in God.

From an evidence standpoint, neither has enough to prove the other wrong. However, humans have made simulations before, and we've advanced so much in such a short amount of time: in the 1990s home computers struggled to render 3D scenes with a few million polygons, while 30 years later the same home hardware renders scenes with billions of polygons, photorealistic graphics, ray tracing, path tracing, npcs, and so on. The first computer made was around 80 years ago. Who's to say what a civilization a few hundred more years advanced than us can create?

I don't believe in God or any of the "evidence" around there being a God. The topic of Gods are entirely philosophical and all the events associated with them in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism all seem to display a supernatural being who defies the laws of the universe (ironic). Since I'm strictly a "man of science", finding reason in stuff like this is hard.

Now simulations. We have the evidence right in front of us. We've made simulations. Are we in a simulation? Not necessarily, but it makes the idea conceivable. We have the power to make little people exist in a fake world. We probably are those little people in someone else's fake world. It's an interesting idea.

Goodnight Punpun

I've been reading Goodnight Punpun - nothing but praise for it, it's great. If anyone likes dark psychological dramas/tragedies then you must 100% read Punpun!!!

Some part of me relates to Punpun, it could be the alienation, shame, dysmorphia. His suffering is so extreme and mine is comparatively mundane, claiming it resonates with me is pretty presumptuous and downright rude, since i've experienced nothing as close to what he has. I'm not saying there's a set "amount" of suffering one must go through before they can feel what Punpun has, because of course, one person's minor inconvenience might be another's pain. This topic is pretty hard to write about in a coherent way. At the end of the day, no one can claim their pain is more legitimate or "real" than someone else's. I've been in so many situations where a person would compare their issues with mine, and tell me that "I haven't been through anything" or I "haven't seen real pain"- something like that. I find it so infuriating, because it seems like people want to prove they're better than you in any way shape or form (even if it's self-destructive).

Inspiration

Camerons World serves as my inspiration and the spark that made me love og web aesthetics. My first portfolio website was based off his (you can find a screenshot of it in the gallery). It's no where near as good as Camerons World, but I loved the heck out of it. I'm going to slowly add more features to this site, until one day it becomes fully fleshed out and maybe could maybe have a functional chat (?) Time will tell

update

I also completely forgot about a windows 98 themed desktop I made, it was my portfolio for so long. I made it during a learning period, so the code is unbelievably sloppy and trying to make any updates to it is impossible - Here yo (best viewed on desktop (duh))

Bioshock

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture. A city where the artist would not fear the censor. Where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality. Where the great would not be constrained by the small!

I love this quote man Bioshock best game. Need i say more?

Thoughts

Almost every single day, at a random hour I start to ponder on my past, and think about what I could have done different and how my life would have turned out if I did. It's become a bad habit since all it does is make me sad. I've tried to do the opposite, by thinking of the future I can have - but - its much easier to think and visualise things that have already happened (like dumb mistakes you've made) than think of a life you'd like to have.

I want to move out yesterday. I want to move into an apartment, in the center of a city. It's not much but thats the dream I've had for the past year now. Oh the joys of living alone how I long for you...

Nicotine

Ultra strawberry monster and a camel blue in the park!

Completely frying my brain making all the web pages, copy pasting content from tens of pages and having to make random words in the paragraphs bold one by one is mind numbing

Dreams

Do you ever have a dream where when you wake up you feel absolutely destroyed that it was dream? It feels like I lost a part of myself, even though it lasted 30 minutes. Those 30 minutes were pure bliss and I believe to be the result of my brain subconsciously processing what I desire the most.

I tried to learn how to lucid dream as a child, but I never really got the hang of it. I always had the wildest imagination and I soo wanted to somehow translate that into reality, which then led to the topic of dreams, and we all know that scenarios in dreams are often easier to recreate than in real life.

I'd like to believe that dreams reveal hidden truths, or predict the future, but I'm not really superstitious.

06/07/2026 - IT HAPPENED AGAIN

I've had enough. I'm going to learn how to lucid dream for real this time. Why does it always happen the literal minute before my alarm is supposed to go off? It's like my brain is doing it out of spite right as I'm supposed to wake up.

Research - Dreams mostly happen during REM sleep, and the best way to maximise it is to sleep 8-9 hours. Problem is, I only sleep around 7. I'm also going to start keeping a dream journal, in order to train my brain to recall dreams better. What I've learnt first hand is that when I go to sleep thinking about something in particular, that thing or a similar subject also appears in my dream.

10/07/2026 - I've been forgetting my dreams

I recently said I'm going to write my dreams down, but I suddenly can't remember anything anymore!! I didn't dream for a couple days after I made that post, however yesterday I had 6 dreams in the same night. They were split up into two categories, the first 3 were about the same thing and so were the other 3. They weren't as interesting or vivid as they normally are.

Eventful evening

I drove to my brothers new house and its pretty rad dude we played some pool (i did not win). Worked on my clients website, progress is SLOW

Why?

Since I cant be bothered to write in an actual book, and since I think writing in an app or notes is pretty boring, I decided to create my diary in the form of a website. The only thing im semi-skilled at. (I just needed an excuse to make a 90's website)

So where do I start? I'm just a chud bla bla bla. I've never left my home - 21 years and counting now ;p however, I will be going to Asia. next year. probs. After my web dev career pops off.

Im a web dev, I've got a client currently, and I hope that I can sort of snowball my career after I complete their site. Easier said than done, considering I have no dedication for 99% of the things in my life. Like even knowing I can do a good job and make the client happy, having to wake up and sit down for multiple hours just doesn't compute in my brain. I know that you have to look at the end goal, and use that as a form of motivation, but my end goal is so blurred and "out of reach" it makes it hard to get anything done.

I was hoping that making this website would help clear my head? Having a place to write things down and keep them there to look back to in the future (or vice versa) is good i guess.

GRAND OPENING

Dear Diary, I don't even know where to start. Today was one of those days where everything felt like too much and not enough at the same time. You know how it is.

I stayed up way too late last night on free spotify. My mum is going to be so mad if she finds out.

mood: so sad

Ok confession over. Me bored. Me make low effort diary/blog. Me no longer bored. Writing here through the code editor is annoying. I'm going to spout out all my thoughts here, that I otherwise would be too scared to say anywhere else.
